WELCOME

Welcome to Carmel

The Cloistered Carmel of the Sacred Heart Monastery at Kankanady, Mangalore, is a Teresian contemplative Carmel founded in 1870. Within the silence of the cloister, the Sisters seek to live a life of prayer and contemplation, offering themselves in prayer for the Church, for priests, for the conversion of sinners, and for the needs and intentions entrusted to them.
